So, what is an Extension Council and how can you get involved?
In all 114 Missouri counties, an MU county extension council, of elected and appointed citizens, guides local educational programming. County council members are partners in the entire educational process, from needs assessment through program implementation and evaluation of outcomes.

Claire Wolff joins the Missouri University Extension...
... as the Community Development Specialist for the St. Louis Urban Region. Claire looks forward to bringing her expertise in community engagement, neighborhood leadership, and social capital development to the position.
Prior to joining the University of Missouri system, she was employed as the Director of Community Development at Grace Hill Settlement House. Claire currently serves on the board of Old North St. Louis Restoration Group and Perennial STL and is the co-founder of the Park Picnic Project.
She received her MSW from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis in 2009. Claire will join University of Missouri-St. Louis Professor Kristen Wagner in leading the Neighborhood Leadership Academy this Spring.
Angie Kaiser joins the Missouri University Extension...
... as a Nutrition Program Associate in the Family Nutrition Education Program. She looks forward to teaching concepts in nutrition, food safety, physical activity and gardening. She will be offering various programs such as “Show Me Nutrition”, “Kids in the Kitchen” and “Eating From the Garden” in St. Louis County Schools; as well as “Eating Smart, Being Active”, “Getting Healthy with Gardening” and “Healthy Change Workshops” to adults in the area.
Before coming to MU Extension, Angie worked as a substitute teacher. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
