Training dates

New faculty members are invited to participate in cohort training. This training is designed to assist new faculty who are hired within the same six-month period to quickly become successful and effective in their positions and to develop positive, supportive relationships.

Cohort training consists of three sessions, one every two to three months during the first year of employment. Cohort sessions are designed and implemented by the orientation team in collaboration with MU Extension faculty and administrators.

Cohort members who must travel four or more hours to attend training may arrive the evening before the scheduled training.  Prior arrangements must be made with Megan Martin to make accommodations for these conditions.
