Program Information

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is a eight week strength training program that was developed at Tufts University.  This program is based on the results of their strength training studies with middle aged and older adults.

Over eight weeks you will learn exercises that will improve your strength, flexibility, and balance.  Weights will be available on site and trained staff will help you learn and do these exercises safely.

Class Schedule

The University of Missouri Extension/Pettis County office is happy to announce an upcoming Stay Strong, Stay Healthy class.  Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is a light weight-training class designed for older adults and middle age sedentary adults.  We use light weights for improving balance, fitness, and state of mind.  We meet for an hour two times per week for eight weeks.  Our next series of classes starts on September 19—we will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays (starting on a Monday) from 9:30-10:30 am at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center at State Fair Community College.
