Community Arts Program
The MU Extension Community Arts Program is a three-way partnership between MU Extension, the University of Missouri and Missouri communities providing expertise and support to promote and foster art-based community and economic development.
- Legends of Lexington Audio Tours — Visitors to historic Lexington, Mo., can learn about the town's rich architecture and Civil War history through an audio walking and driving tour created in partnership with the Lexington community, MU and extension's Community Arts Program.
St. Louis Storytelling Festival
The St. Louis Storytelling Festival, a MU Extension Community Arts Program brings culturally diverse storytellers to Missouri. Now in its 38th year, the festival renews and celebrates the ancient art of storytelling. The largest free storytelling festival in the world, SLSF has won many awards for its innovative and masterful celebration of storytelling as well as its outreach to the St. Louis metropolitan community.
