Cultural Heritage Workshop Dec. 2

MU Extension’s “Arts and Cultural Heritage Tourism” workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Media Center, Aurora High School, 305 W. Prospect, Aurora. The workshop is free and includes lunch with a pre-registration thanks to a sponsorship by the Missouri Humanities Council and University of Missouri Extension. Pay for Soil Tests Online

Soil testing is available at the Greene County Extension office located in the Botanical Center. As a convenience, the fee can be paid online and the soil sample and contact information can be left with parks staff at the Botanical Center. | Pay online for soil test

Order New Book on Missouri Historic Schools

The "Missouri Directory of Historic and One-Room Schools" is now available for purchase on Amazon.com or at the Greene County MU Extension office in Springfield. The book details over 60 of the very best historic and one-room schools in Missouri and was recently named the "Bound Book of the Year" by the North Central Region of the North American County Agriculture Extension Agents. The book costs $15.50 and all proceeds benefit the administration of the Greene County Extension office. Order link

Help with Your Lawn and Garden

Assistance: Master Gardeners of Greene County staff our gardening hotline and can be reached by calling the hotline directly at 417- 874-2963..

Soil Test: Bring in your soil and make sure you don't waste money on your lawn, garden or field. Soil Test Brochure (PDF). For more information, including a video on how to collect a sample, see "Soil Test Central."
