This is not a complete list of one-room schools in Missouri. The information presented here is a selection of schools featured in our MU Extension programs or in the newsletter for the Missouri Historic Schools Alliance. Missouri Directory of Historic and One-Room Schools

A publication entitled, "Missouri Directory of Historic and One-Room Schools" will be published during the summer of 2014. The first edition (written by David Burton of MU Extension and Jennifer Kervian of Joplin) will include details on about 50 schools in Missouri. Owners or groups who want to add their school to the directory (free-of-charge) can do so using one of these forms: DocPDF.  If you wish to receive notifications about this publication please email send your name and address.
