Master Gardener Training Classes Offered!

We have scheduled training for this fall beginning August 28.  We plan to meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Mondays once each week for thirteen weeks with the last session on November 26.  The September 17 session will start at 6 p.m.  The first session (Tuesday, August 28) will be an orientation session, which will probably last 1-2 hours.  A graduation/holiday party is scheduled for December 13.  Sessions will be held in the Franklin County Extension Council Foundation meeting room at 102 Union Plaza Drive in Union (strip plaza located just east of Pasta House) except for the session on native plants on September 17 that will be held at the Shaw Nature Reserve at Gray Summit.

The cost to participate in the program is $175.  This cost covers the cost of the meeting room, core manual, landscaping supplies and name tag.  If a couple take the course and can share a core manual, the cost for the second person will be $145.  Please call the Franklin County University of Missouri Extension office at (636) 583-5141 to register and then send your check made payable to “University Extension” to University Extension Center, 116 W. Main, Union, MO  63084.  Your payment completes the registration process and holds your place for the program.

The course schedule may be found HERE.
