Vegetable gardening questions

As the peek gardening season comes near, here at Extension we get many questions about gardening.  This guide is a section from the Missouri Master Gardener handbook on vegetable gardening.  It provides information from plant and site selection, irrigation and common problems.  There are many other publications available through our website on gardening and other topics as well.  Just click the link at the top of the page titled Publications.

Soil testing

Soil tests save time and money. Whether you have acres of pasture or have a vegetable patch in the backyard, a soil test will provide you with an analysis of nutrients and a set of recommendations for improvements. Call or visit the Cedar County Extension office for details. Don't guess... Soil test!
