2017 NEMO Soils and Crops Conference

Description:

The NEMO Soils and Crops Conference will give local producers an opportunity to hear the latest information and ideas from University Specialists. Greg Luce, University of Missouri Cereal Grain Specialist, will kick off the event with a presentation on What We Learned from Fallow Syndrome, Cover Crops and Other MU Strip Trials in 2016. Dr. Ray Massey, University of Missouri Ag Economist, will follow with a discussion on Decision Making in a Down Market. Dr. Daren Mueller, Crop Pathologist with Iowa State University, will talk about Sudden Death Syndrome and other Emerging Corn and Soybean Diseases. Dr. Kevin Bradley, University of Missouri State Weed Specialist, will conclude the conference with a Weed Management Update: Some Thoughts on 2016 and Looking Forward to 2017. Four CEUs for Certified Crop Advisors is pending. Lunch will be provided by Hat’s restaurant. The conference is open to the public.

Registration:

The cost to attend the conference is $10 per person due at the door. Preregistration is requested by February 14th to assure adequate food.To preregister, contact the Marion County Extension Center at (573) 769-2177 or millerww@missouri.edu.
