Safe Food Preservation (Session 3 of 3)

Description:

Learn to safely preserve fresh produce for tasty gifts for the holidays. Sessions cover preservation methods to use for highest quality and safety in home preserved foods. Participants will get hands on experience in safely processing home preserved food.

Session topic:

Participants will learn how to get the best results when freezing produce and prepared food. Principles of food dehydration will be discussed as well as how to treat food before it is dehydrated and what to look for when purchasing a food dehydrator.
