    Missouri’s Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) program is designed to increase independent living older adults’ access to a safe, structured, and effective strength training program. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy- Level 2 is a follow-up to Level 1. It is for those who want to challenge themselves a bit more! Over eight weeks, participants learn exercises to improve strength, flexibility and balance. At each session, a prescribed set of eight to 10 upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. In order to enroll in the Stay Strong, Stay Healthy–Level 2 program, you must have completed the Stay Strong, Stay Healthy-Level 1 program at least twice. Participants are made to feel comfortable and are encouraged to gradually build the strength beneficial to health. All equipment is provided.

    Diabetes Self-Management Program (Session 6 of 6)

    This course is designed to help people who have diabetes or individuals who care for someone who has diabetes to become better self-managers of their condition. This program will consist of six sessions each lasting 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Participants will learn to plan healthful meals with balanced carbohydrates, learn more about the benefits of physical activity, discuss blood sugar highs and lows, and how to communicate more effectively with health professionals. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial to health. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is adapted from the Strong Women Program, A National Fitness Program for Women, John Hancock Center for Physical Activity and Nutrition, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, 2008 Tufts University, Boston Massachusetts.

The Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship program is an immersive 5-lesson curriculum that provides creative entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills to start an Etsy business and earn supplemental income through their craft. The training covers becoming an entrepreneur on Etsy, building a craft brand and getting found in search, business logistics, photography techniques, and strategies for growth.
