Cooking Matters for Kids, Nevada (Session 3 of 6)

Description:

Cooking Matters for Kids was designed to engage children in learning how to make healthy decisions when choosing foods and give them the skills to learn how to easily prepare healthful foods. Each week, children prepare three different recipes while learning about each of the food groups, food safety, and kitchen safety.

Session topic:

Children will learn how to identify whole grains and why whole grains are an important part of a healthful diet. They will prepare foods that have whole grains.
