    Neighborhood Leadership Fellows 2019 (Session 9 of 18)

    Description:

    The mission of Neighborhood Leadership Fellows (NLF) is to increase and amplify the voices of North St. Louis City and County residents at the civic decision-making tables in order to produce more equitable regional policies for neighborhoods. The primary geographic focus area is neighborhoods within the St. Louis Promise Zone due to the well-documented need for more targeted investment.

    Focus on Kids, Union, Mo.

    Description:

    Court ordered parenting class to help divorced and separated parents learn how to support their children through the divorce process and how to work together in co-parenting their children.  Focus on Kids satisfies the Missouri law that requires parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify the original divorce decree, or who have never been married but have filed a child custody case, to attend an educational parenting program.


    Session topic:

    Focus on Kids is the Court mandated class for parents involved in custody cases where minor age children are involved.

    Salem Community Garden-Meet Us At the Garden!

    The Salem Community Garden is a place for Dent County residents to grow and harvest healthy food for their families, friends or to donate to those in need.

    The Meet Us At the Garden workshop is hosted every second Saturday of each month and is open to the public.
    10:00-10:30 a.m. Ask a Master Gardener and Hands-on Gardening Demonstrations
    10:30-noon Garden Volunteer work (help out with planting, harvesting, composting, weeding, mulching and a variety of other garden tasks!)
