Pollinators — such as bees, birds, butterflies, bats and insects — play a crucial role in the production of most fruits and vegetables. They also support healthy ecosystems that clean the air, stabilize soils and support wildlife.

Studies show that pollinator populations are in decline because of a loss of feeding and nesting habitats, pollution and the misuse of pesticides. Learn how to protect our agricultural economy and food supply with the Master Pollinator Steward program.

Beginning Bee Keeping (Session 4 of 6)

This program was designed to introduce the world of beekeeping to High School students in FFA. This will allow the students to see what it takes to get started in bee keeping as an SAE project. In turn they can profit , learn proper recorded keeping practices, and possibly receive awards through there efforts This is a two class period activity carried out over two days. The program inspires increased economic development, economic sustainability, and social viability in rural Missouri.
