You will receive a business plan outline, a sample business plan and access to our online Financial Projections Spreadsheet to produce a 3-year income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement for your business plan. You will also receive guidance on style and appearance to help you create a more appealing business plan.

Cooking Matters for Adults-Richland (Session 6 of 6)
When: Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Cooking Matters is a 6-session culinary-based nutrition education program that is delivered through; powerful, engaging lessons featuring hands-on learning that include group discussion with instructors. Program Goal: This program’s main goals are: 1. to provide knowledge and skills to help seniors prepare food at home more, and become aware of the negative health behaviors associated with obesity and sedentary lifestyles. The primary objectives are to teach: (1) Cooking tips and techniques; (ii) tips for proper food safety; (iii) storage and sanitation; (iv) nutrition and health information to ensure optimal health; (v) budgeting -stretching food dollars and maximizing resources; (vi) tips to get families to try new foods; and (vii) shopping healthfully on a limited budget. The program evaluates participants at week 1 and week 6 and behavior changes occur consistently in all individuals.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy-Waynesville (Session 10 of 16)

A strength training program for middle-aged and older adults. The programs goal is to improve health and quality of life. Exercise sessions to improve strength and balance include warm-up exercises, strengthening exercises and cool-down stretches.
8 week class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Waynesville Senior Center in Waynesville, MO Register with the MU Extension Center in Pulaski County at 573-774-6177. Preregister is required and a physician's release for those age 69 and over.

It is recommended that adults perform strength training activities 2-3 times per week. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy provides older adults an opportunity to do muscle strengthening exercises in a safe environment where they can progress at their own rate.
Strength training has several health benefits including improved strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility. Strength training also helps improve self-esteem and quality of sleep.
The biggest benefit this program has to offer older adults is the ability to remain independent and continue performing activities of daily living without assistance.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy- Level 2 University of Missouri Medical School (Session 6 of 16)

Missouri’s Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) program is designed to increase aging adults’ access to a safe, structured, and effective strength training program. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy- Level 2 is a follow-up to Level 1. It is for those who want to challenge themselves a bit more! Over the 8 weeks, participants learn exercises to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. At each session, a prescribed set of eight to 10 upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. In order to enroll in the Stay Strong, Stay Healthy–Level 2 program, you must have completed the Stay Strong, Stay Healthy-Level 1 program at least twice. Participants are made to feel comfortable and encouraged to gradually build the strength beneficial to health. All equipment is provided.

Stay Strong Stay Healthy Level 2, is an advancement of SSSH Level 1. This event takes place on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Pettis County MU Extension Center.
