Description:

This program helps participants with chronic conditions learn proven, effective interventions for self-managing their chronic disease or condition like high blood pressure, cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis, depression, or anxiety. These interventions can reduce symptoms, give participants the confidence to manage their condition, improve their quality of life and reduce health care costs.

Add 3, Reduce 2- a veggie-palooza

When:  Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Description:

Add 3, Reduce 2 is a workshop that teaches participants how to easily add fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to their favorite meals and snacks, while trying to reduce the amount of added sugars and saturated fats. Participants learn about the important of including or minimizing these foods in their meals for health benefits. At the end of the workshop, they get practical application by modifying recipes to Add 3, and Reduce 2.

Live Plan: Building a Business Plan

When:  Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Description:

Whether you are starting a business, trying to obtain financing from lenders or investors, or expanding your company, you should consider writing a business plan. Live Plan is an online business planning software that works on any type of computer with an Internet connection. You can construct a business plan and financial statements, which can be accessed by multiple users. This workshop will introduce you to the Live Plan software and provide tips on writing a successful business plan. Each participant, who are MSSU SBTDC clients, will receive 90-day access to Live Plan.
