    Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is an exercise program designed to help keep older adults active. Over this 8 week program, participants learn exercises to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. During each session, a prescribed set of 8 upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial to health.

    Stay Strong Stay Healthy - Independence (Session 8 of 16)

    Description:

    Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) program is designed to increase independent living older adults’ access to a safe, structured, and effective strength-training program. Over eight weeks, participants learn exercises to improve strength, flexibility and balance. This is a program developed by the Pomme De Terre Beekeepers Association as we try to introduce patrons to the wonderful world of bees.     Helps divorced and separated parents learn how to support their children through the divorce process and how to work together in co-parenting their children.  Focus on Kids satisfies the Missouri law that requires parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify the original divorce decree, or who have never been married but have filed a child custody case, to attend an educational parenting program.

    FSMA Produce Safety Alliance Training, Jackson

    Description:

    Fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs). The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in ยง112.22(c) that requires "At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration." Includes PSA Training Manual ($50), Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) Certificate of Completion ($35), light refreshments, lunch ($15) and speakers (~$100). Payment is due at the time of registration, and WILL NOT be accepted at the door.
