Stay Strong Stay Healthy, Level 2 is an eight-week, evidence-based strength training program for people who have completed Stay Strong, Stay Healthy, Level 1. This class helps adults stay active and improve their quality of life. The exercises are easy to learn, safe and effective.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy Level 1 CJ (Session 13 of 18)

Description:

This is a low-impact strength training program for people who are 50 or better. The class meets for 1 hour, twice a week for 8 weeks to complete a series of eight exercises with a warm-up and cool down. This program helps participants increase their physical activity which may improve strength, balance and flexibility, resulting in reduced risk for falls, better overall health and greater independence.

Focus on Kids is a workshop to help parents learn how to nurture and support their children through the divorce process and to help parents who are living apart develop ways to work together effectively as co-parents. Focus on Kids satisfies Missouri's educational requirement for parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify. It is conducted in cooperation with Missouri’s circuit courts.

On Farm Produce Safety Training - Kirksville

Description:

Who Should Attend: Fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs). The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in ยง 112.22 that requires "At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.". Participants will learn about produce safety practices and key parts of the FSMA Produce Safety Rule as outlined within each of seven modules. There will be time for questions so participants should come prepared to share experiences during discussions in each of these areas: ? Introduction to Produce Safety ? Worker Health, Hygiene, and Training ? Soil Amendments ? Wildlife, Domesticated Animals, and Land Use ? Agricultural Water (Production and Postharvest) ? Postharvest Handling and Sanitation ? Health Insurance Education Initiative

Health insurance has its own language, which is often hard to understand. MU Extension faculty offers a one-hour workshop to share the facts about health insurance, help you understand options to get covered, explain the law so you know how to comply with it, and give you skills and tools to make the best health insurance choices for yourself and your family. Workshop takes place in a neutral environment with focus on facts for the Affordable Care Act's open enrollment period which is November 1 through December 15, 2017.
