    Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) is an 8-week strength training program for older adults designed to increase aging adults’ access to a safe, structured and effective strength training program. Over 8 weeks, participants learn exercises to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. During each session, a prescribed set of 8 upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial to health.

    The Southeast Youth Coalition- Policy, Systems & Environmental (PSE) Changes (Session 7 of 7)

    Community needs assessments may identify a need that requires a policy, system or environmental (PSE) change to be made to impact the larger community rather than individual educational efforts. PSE strategies is a global term for a number of strategies that can be implemented all with the long term goal of improving the overall health of the community.

    The Southeast Youth Coalition(SEYC or the Coalition) formed in April 2018 to address behavior health issues affecting the youth of the Southeast community of Kansas City Missouri. Specifically,SEYC focuses on Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drug use and abuse, Violence, and Suicide. The Coalition defines youth generally between the ages of 13-24.
