The BEEF RENDEZVOUS have been another means of communicating with producers very successfully. These types of meetings emphasize the opportunity for the individuals attending to provide the program. Meetings of this type provide the opportunity for industry, agri-business and University of Missouri Extension personnel to provide a united front and to respond to questions that are of interest to the clientele. The panel members consist of nutritionists, veterinarians, regional staff, and a narrator. Involving local veterinarians, representatives from the College of Veterinary Medicine, regional livestock specialists, nutritionists from the University of MO Animal Science Department, regional Agronomy and Farm Management Specialists provides the opportunity for different approaches to the same concern. The responses are limited to one to four minutes depending on the question and interest from those attending.

The following locations have been scheduled for the spring of 1999: starting at 7:00 pm: Braymer, MO, on Tuesday, March 23; Fayette, MO on Monday, March 29; Mendon, MO, on Tuesday, March 30; and Green City, MO on Thursday, April 1. These events are co-sponsored by University of Missouri Extension, Merial LTD., AGRIServices of Brunswick, Fayette COOP, Consumers Oil and Supply Co., and Green City Livestock Market.
