Meetings and Social Activities: The KAMG has a monthly business meeting with educational programs or activities of interest to gardeners. They also have several social activities throughout the year, including a summer potluck dinner and a holiday party in December.

Adair County Library Sign Landscaping Project: The KAMG designed, installed and maintains a planting around the Adair County Public Library sign. The landscape was installed in 1999 and was expanded in 2003.

Beautification Projects:

Brashear Park:  The KAMG, in cooperation with the City of Kirksville, designed, installed and maintains a landscape near the gazebo at Brashear Park. The landscape was installed in 1999 and was expanded in 2000.  Another corner of the park was landscaped in 2002.

Veterans Memorial Park Beautification Project:  The KAMG, in cooperation with the City of Kirksville, designed, installed and maintains a landscape at Veteran's Memorial Park on Highway 63.  The Landscape was installed in 2002. A small prairie garden was added nearby.

Other Community Beautification Projects:  The KAMG planted a rose garden at the Adair County Courthouse in 2001. They planted daylily beds in several city parks in 2003. Members of the KAMG's have planted several flower beds around the Adair County Extension Center building.

Kirksville Farmers' Market: The KAMG's staff a booth at the Kirksville farmers' market that provides horticulture information to the public. The Farmers' Market takes place every Saturday morning from 7-11 a.m. from the first weekend in May to the last weekend in October.  The location is the north parking lot of the Adair County Courthouse.

Kirksville Garden 'N Grow Program:  The Kirksville Garden 'N Grow (GnG) program (formerly the Junior Master Gardener Program) is a summer gardening program for youth. This educational program has been held at the Adair County Extension Center every year since 2000. Several KAMG members are actively involved with the program.

KAMG Garden Tour:  Every other year the Kirksville Area Master Gardener (KAMG) Club has a garden tour featuring several gardens around Kirksville. The first KAMG garden tour was held on June 4, 2000 in Kirksville.  The tour showcased seven gardens and the Brashear Park beautification project.  The second KAMG garden tour was held June 22, 2003. Proceeds from the tour will be used to help fund other club projects and provide scholarships for the Garden N' Grow Program. The next Garden Tour will be held June 25, 2006.

Nursing Home Garden Program:  Each month KAMG's along with horticulture specialist Jennifer Barnes-Schutter, provide gardening programs for residents at two Kirksville nursing homes.
