Areas of work

Dr. Amy Patillo is a Labor and Workforce Development Field Specialist located in Greene County at the Springfield Botanical Gardens. In her role, Dr. Patillo works across the state to coordinate the Universities high priority commitments and identifies projects where Extension can grow Missouri’s workforce.

Dr. Patillo has served the people of Missouri, working in community and economic development, and 4-H youth programs since joining Extension in 2011. Prior to Dr. Patillo joining the University of Missouri, she served as a public school district administrator and skilled nursing facility administrator. She oversaw several federal programs invested in education and career development, including gifted education and special education federal programs.

Dr. Patillo received her Master’s in Educational Administration from Missouri State University and her Specialist and Doctorate in Educational Administration and Policy Analysis from St. Louis University in 2008.
